The venue staff hopes everyone can have a great time during their visit. To ensure this, they have created a set of rules and policies that should be followed. Please take a moment to review the following rules as guests who fail to abide by them may be expelled without refund or banned.

We always recommend checking with the venue for latest rules prior to attending any show. If you have any questions, please call the venue directly at 312.744.5000.


Aisle and Seating Policy

Please keep all seating section aisles clear (no sitting, standing or dancing in the aisles).

Animal Policy

Pets of any time are not allowed at the venue. The only exception are service animals as defined by ADA policy. Please note that emotional support animals do not count as service animals in most cases.

Bag Policy

Subject to bag search at the security perimeter, guests will be allowed to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages to all events at Millennium Park’s Jay Pritzker Pavilion.

Bags and coolers must be smaller than 26L x 15W x 15H.

Camera Policy

Professional video, audio and photography equipment and set up are not allowed except for previously approved media professionals.

Entrance/Exit Policy

Most days all entrances to the Park will be open. At events, limited entrances will be open.

Food/Beverage Policy

Subject to bag search at the security perimeter, guests will be allowed to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages to Millennium Park. Coffee, food and drinks are available to purchase in Millennium Park.

Lost & Found Policy

Questions about lost and found items should be directed to the Welcome Center (open 9am-5pm, open until the end of the performance on event nights) at the number 312.742.1168. Please be prepared to offer detailed descriptions of your lost items as well as your complete contact info.

Jay Pritzker Pavilion is not responsible for your missing items.

Prohibited Items

The following items are not allowed at the pavilion. All guests should leave these items at home. If they are brought to the venue, you may be denied entrance.

  • Pets (except for service animals)
  • Hammocks
  • Totems, flags, banners, lawn stakes
  • Tents, canopies, shade structures, umbrellas (staked or golf)
  • Balloons
  • Noise makers
  • Laser pointers
  • All metal knives and cutlery (**corkscrews and plastic/compostable cutlery ARE allowed)
  • Skateboards, scooters, bicycles, personal motorized vehicles (exception ADA mobility devices)
  • Drones, hoverboards, motorized toys
  • Professional grade walkie-talkies or radios
  • Unauthorized/unlicensed vendors
  • Unauthorized solicitation and materials including handbills, flyers, stickers, samples, giveaways, etc.
  • Illegal and illicit substances of any kind including drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • Firearms, explosive, weapons of any kind *(including pocket knives, pepper spray, fireworks, etc)
  • Open flames
  • Any item deemed dangerous by Security
  • Outside Alcohol Prohibited at all Millennium Park winter events

Alcohol may be purchased inside the Park at Casa Bonita (off Grainger Plaza) or Millennium Hall (off the ice rink). Alcohol purchased within those concessions must remain in the concession space. venue.

Smoking Policy

Smoking including e-cigs or vaping devices is not allowed on the Great Lawn or in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion seating area. Please smoke only in the designated perimeter.

Umbrella Policy

Umbrellas may only be used in inclement weather

Concerts and performances in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion are held rain or shine, unless there are severe weather warnings and/or the imminent threat of lightning in the area.

Please plan ahead for your comfort while in our outdoor venue.

The Great Lawn will be closed except during events. There are auxiliary lawns around the perimeter of the venue where you may picnic when the Great Lawn is closed.
